Enquiry - What information is needed?

It is difficult to give a general answer to this question with requirements changing daily. However, this is exactly what makes our work so exciting and motivates us to provide the best possible support for your unique business needs.

To help you, you will find below the minimum information we need in the first step.

Minimum Information

  • Test parameters
  • Are the test parameters marked as a CC feature?
  • Technical drawing for dimensional inspection
  • Photos / if necessary samples of OKs (good components) and NOKs (bad components) for attributive characteristics
  • Quantity of components to be inspected
  • Is this one-off or standing order?

This information is passed on to our engineers to assess the feasibility. Certain situations may lead to further queries and requirements.

Often, sample parts are needed in the second step in order to carry out tests. Attributive test features, such as chips, discolouration, scratches or superficial cracks, sample parts are absolutely necessary. At least 5 parts of each type of defect should be defined NOK and 5-10 good parts defined OK. Sample parts are also required when it comes to hardness testing or crack testing.

In order to be able to test the automated feeding, there is a possibility that several samples are needed. This depends on the component geometry and we would communicate with you about this.

Offer – What information will I receive?

We will send you an offer as soon as our engineers have checked the feasibility of your requested test job and we have received all requested sample parts.

This quotation will include the following information:

  • The feasible test parameters
  • In the case of surface testing: description of the defect patterns or the defect catalogue
  • Test price per 1,000 pieces (for manual sorting per 100 pieces)
  • Optional: quantity and packaging costs per packaging unit

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our sales department!

Producibility Assessment

Producibility Assessment - What happens?

We have many years of experience in the field of contract sorting and contract inspection. We can evaluate and assess requirements on short notice.

We can immediately compare your parameters with the capabilities of our measuring machines.

However, if you have a task that we cannot assess ad hoc, we use the common methods of the VDA for the assessment

The sales department uses the results of the assessment for their calculation and quotation.

Incoming goods

What happens after the order?

With the help of your order or delivery specifications, we enter the order data in SAP. The following data is recorded and stored in a traceable manner:

  • Customer number / Customer name
  • Item number / Item description
  • Order number / delivery note number
  • Batch number
  • Delivery quantity
  • Delivery container
  • Required date of completion

We generate unique production orders that can be traced back at any time using this data. The documentation for labelling is created and attached to the products as a goods receipt/issue slip - an identification/incoming goods inspection is also carried out directly onsite.

In this process, we also include your order in our digital planning. The machine plan can be modified individually with drag & drop. Large display boards in our production facility support the employees in fulfilling your orders at exactly the right time - ALWAYS ON TIME.

Order Planning

Tomorrow at 12:00 the assembly lines will stop!

This is the horror scenario for every automotive supplier. To ensure that this does not happen, we addressed this issue at an early stage in the company's history. As early as 2012, we relied on SAP. This decision was one of the best decisions we have ever made, even if we only had ten employees at the time.

We are able to adjust our entire order planning "with a mouse click" on the basis of SAP and thus demonstrate the flexibility that is indispensable today.

Test Plan Development / Test Plan Programming

How do the machines know what to test?

We are teaching them using standard components such as cameras, lenses and LED lighting. We do not only develop the inspection programme, but also the ideal machine for your problem.

Since 2014, we have been designing and building our own measuring systems with constant revisions. We have most recently launched the fourth generation of our testing machines in 2019. We rely on a high degree of modularity and the associated flexibility. Our software is constantly being upgraded. In particular, we are focusing more and more on collecting data for process optimisation.

We recently have developed an algorithm that makes it possible to access and evaluate all order-related measured values, even six months after the test.

Order Processing

How is the order processing carried out?

All relevant data is stored in SAP and made available for each order. This is independent of the fact whether the order is extremely urgent, or the machine has to meet the highest cleanliness requirements or other requirements exist.

All data is prepared and recorded for our employees.

As a matter of principle, we run all "NOK" parts of an inspection process through the machine again. This means that even borderline parts do not necessarily have to be disposed of.

If you wish, we will be happy to help you optimise your processes with statistical evaluations so that, ideally, you do not have to dispose of any components.

Packaging

How is the packaging planned?

The packaging department works with a planning monitor, which is compiled by our shipping department. Orders that are in the status "Incoming goods", "On the machine", "Interrupted" or "In packaging" can be planned.

The orders are distributed to the individual packing tables via drag & drop. If an order is not assigned to a packing table, the FIFO principle is applied.

The goods are packed according to your packing specifications. The finished goods are then stored safely for transport in the goods issue area and are ready for transport.

How will the order be packed?

Just as you wish. We adapt completely to your needs.

Do you need a VCI bag, a PE bag or a PP bag?
Do you need a VCI bag, a PE bag or a PP bag?
With or without labels, according to VDA specifications or freely designed? In any case, we will be happy to advise you and implement your wishes.

Your goods are either packed directly at the machine via internal counters with piece-bypiece precision or, following the measuring process, in our packaging department via counting scales or part-protecting packaging systems.

You can find more information here.

Shipping

What happens after the order has been packed?

After the products have been placed in the shipping department, an inspection takes place. We check the safety of the items in transport and, if necessary, the labelling. Afterwards, the shipping department creates the delivery note. We can inform you about the completion of your order via email. We just need your e-mail address, if you choose this option.

How does the order get back to me?

Either you (or your carrier) collects your goods or we ship them to you via our truck. Would you like an individual offer? No problem, just contact us: vertrieb(at)allomess.de.
